Before you pay
How does billing work?+−
The Buyer Pass and the BETA Supporter seat are one charge each, with no card kept on file. Throttle+ bills monthly or yearly through Stripe and renews until you cancel it.
Can I cancel any time?+−
Yes — in one step from your billing settings. Access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. There is nothing to cancel on the one-time products.
Do you refund?+−
BETA Supporter: a full refund on request within 14 days, no reason needed. Throttle+: cancel and you keep the period you paid for. Buyer Pass: not refundable once it starts, because it is 30 days long — tell us if a paid feature is broken and we will put it right. The full policy is in /terms.
What does “Coming soon” mean?+−
It means not built yet. VIN, HIN and N-number decoding, bulk decoding, CSV export and personal API keys are planned and marked Coming soon in the table. None of them is part of any plan until it ships, and we will not sell one as available before it works.
What happens when the BETA Supporter offer ends?+−
It closes on the published date or when the cap is reached, whichever comes first, and it does not reopen under a new name. Existing supporters are unaffected. The tile stays up in a dated closed state rather than quietly disappearing.
What does “lifetime of the platform” mean?+−
Lifetime of the platform means the period during which Throttle Toys operates the Throttle service under its current ownership and brand. It is a defined term, not a promise that the company exists forever — the full text, including what happens if Throttle is sold or renamed, is on /terms/supporter.
About the data
How far back does the history go?+−
The oldest price history we hold is 35 days. Free shows the last 30 days of each; the paid plans show all of it. A listing's clock starts when we first read it, not when the dealer listed it.
Why charge for departure history?+−
Knowing when a listing left, and what it was last asking, takes crawling thousands of dealer sites politely, every day, forever, and proving a listing is gone rather than guessing. That is the expensive part. A departure is not a sale: Throttle does not see sale prices.
How do you know a listing is gone?+−
For a disappearance, we do not guess. A listing has to disappear from successful crawls for several consecutive days — longer for boats and aircraft — and the crawl has to look healthy before the absence counts. A blocked or empty crawl never marks anything gone.
