- Is Throttle really free for sellers?
- Yes. If you're an individual seller, listing on Throttle is free. Forever. No "introductory" period. Dealers also onboard free during the beta.
- What's "hot-deal detection"?
- Per category we run a retention curve and a regional adjustment. If a listing's price falls more than 15% below the predicted market value for that year/make/model, we flag it as hot. Throttle+ users see those flags.
- Why charge for sold-listing history?
- Sold prices are the single best signal of what something is actually worth — and aggregating them across BoatTrader, Cycle Trader, dealer feeds, and Throttle's own listings is the expensive part of the operation. Throttle+ helps fund that.
- Lifetime really means lifetime?
- If you pay $250 once, you have Throttle+ for as long as Throttle exists. If we ever shut down or get acquired, the new operator inherits your access. Worst case (we vanish), you've paid roughly the equivalent of 16 months — which is fair.
- Can I switch plans?
- Yes. Upgrade prorates. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Lifetime is a one-way trip — no refund — but you can switch from any other tier to Lifetime at any time and we credit unused subscription time.
- What payment methods?
- Stripe — credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link. Lifetime can be paid by card or ACH.
