Now for 2026 it's all new, feature rich, and loaded with innovation. Updates include new drive modes, a new throttle-by-wire system that enables smoother shifting, better throttle response, variable speed limiter, cruise control, and a speed-limiter “key.” there are new Honda Pro-Connect mounting points in the bed, more underseat storage, even better Electric Power Steering. The Pioneer 1000-5’s new throttle-by-wire (TBW) system enables a whole host of improvements. What you’ll notice first, though, is how smooth the shifts are now. With the industry’s first six-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT), you can choose between manual mode or fully automatic. Steering-column-mounted paddle shifters add a dose of performance to every drive. In Manual mode, they let you shift without ever taking your hands off the wheel, and in Automatic mode, they let you override the current gear with a quick up or downshift. There’s even an easy-to-use tow/haul mode, along with 2WD, 4WD, Differential Lock, and Turf selections. Low range features a 42% gear reduction between High and Low, you get the necessary torque in all six gears, which comes in handy when navigating difficult terrain, climbing steep hills, or towing heavy loads. Four selectable drive modes (Comfort, Normal, Sport and Tow/Haul) let you fine-tune your Pioneer 1000-5’s power delivery, shift points, and acceleration to the task at hand. It includes indicators for speed, fuel level, rpm, transmission mode, water temperature, trip information, and more.
